About Us

We’re David and Amanda! Just everyday parents living in an extraordinary family! We have the joy of raising 12 children in a fast paced, busy world. Yes, that’s right, 12, but the real topper is 12 children 13 and younger! We take each day one minute at a time.

There is never a dull moment, or quiet in the house, and you can count on the laundry being sky high! We love family road trips and vacationing, playing in the back yard, attending sporting events, running a family bakery, and living life to the fullest! We have 4 chaotic boys and 8 beautiful daughters: 3 children by birth, and 9 by adoption.

I, Amanda, am the wearer of many different hats. Aside from being a mom and chaos manager, I work as a Certified Health Coach, and now will add blogger to the list. I easily make friends with others from all walks of life. And strangely enough I tend to get bored if I’m not doing an excessive amount of things. I love being in the kitchen. Cooking and baking are my stress reliefs in life. I do love to scrapbook, sew, travel, plan trips, and anything I can find that helps me avoid cleaning. I’m a facebook junkie, and tend to have a lot of projects waiting to be finished.

David is a lover of football, other sports, and enjoys a good laugh induced by wholesome comedy. He is a talented artist and vocalist. He specializes in exercise and structure at our house. In other words, he enjoys playing sports with the kids and is great at keeping a routine in the home, which I am awful at. He is the genius behind the blog, the layout, the photography, the behind the scenes,  the editor in chief, co-writer, and, from time to time, writer.

Here you can read and enjoy an inside view of life with us, along with projects, recipes, crafts and adventure!

Amanda, as someone who would like to follow in your shoes with adoption I’m really excited to read how the day to day things are. You are an inspiration!

Kaylee, That is fantastic! Adoption can be an emotional exhausting roller coaster, but so worth it! I’d do it all again! Hope you enjoy following us.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I’m 41 now and really miss the old playgrounds. Monkey bars, jungle gyms, tall tall slides, all made out of steel. The see saw! What fun! I played on all of it, I also climbed trees constantly, and you know, the only time I got injured enough to go the hospital, it was indoors (slipped in socks on a floor, fell and cut my head open). I learned to hang on tight when I was off the ground, and I learned how to fall, I learned how to prevent my butt from banging on the see saw, I learned to stay off things that I wasn’t capable of handling. And I played outdoors ALL THE TIME!
